Types of Attestation

 

    STEP 1

  • NSO - National Statistics Office
    • Procure Personal documents
    • In case the customer does not have the original, birth, death, marriage, certificate of no marriage, he needs to procure it online with the delivery address of VFS Manila

  • CHED - Commissioner of Higher Education
    • Procure University / Education Authority authentication
    • Most times this attestation is already done

  • PRC Certification - Professional Regulation Commission
    • Procure Professional certificate pre- authentication

  • LTO - Land Transportation Office
    • Procure Driver’s license pre-authentication

  • Foreign Documents - Documents not issued in the Philippines but require the Philippine government attestation
    • Procure Philippine Embassy in the UAE pre-authentication (to be done personally)

  • NBI Clearance Card - National Bureau of Intelligence, Philippines Clearance
    • If the customer already has one. Philippine Embassy in UAE should attest it ( to be done personally)
    • If the customer does not have the NBI clearance certificate, he can apply for a NBI Sundry card from the Philippine Embassy in UAE which can be sent to Manila for further attestation (to be done personally)

  • STEP 2

  • DFA - Department of Foreign Affairs
    • Procure attestation after Step 1 is completed for the relevant document

  • STEP 3

  • UAE Embassy (Or any other Embassy in Manila)
    • Procure Attestation after Step 2 is completed for the relevant document

Apostille

 

An Apostille is a type of attestation in which documents are legalized in a particular format that is acceptable in all nations that belong to the Hague Convention. Essentially, Apostille is an international attestation that is acceptable in about 92 countries, and most of the western world recognizes Apostille.

Apostille stamp is a square shaped computer generated sticker stamp, This is a unique computer generated stamp having a unique identification number, through which any member country of The Hague convention can check its authenticity online. Under normal circumstances, once the document is apostilled, it does not require to be attested further from the concerned embassy.

If a document is apostilled, it does not require to be attested.
